Stress-Free Parking at JFK Airport

Traveling in or out of John F. Kennedy airport anytime soon? If so, read on for all you need to know about airport parking options and rates. As a major airport located just 16 miles southeast of Manhattan island, JFK airport can get exceptionally busy. In fact, it’s one of the busiest airports in the whole of the United States. With 90 different airlines serving the airport’s 5 active terminals, there are tens of thousands of passengers passing through every day.

That’s why, if you intend to drive and fly from JFK, you need to plan ahead, and secure your airport parking to take the stress out of your trip.

So many parking choices

With all the different parking options available, it can be a challenge just to figure out what exactly you need. Do you park at the airport itself or at an off-airport parking lot? Self-park or use a valet service? Which option is the best? Here at Parkos, we work with many parking partners and provide a simple breakdown of parking types and average parking rates. And, don’t forget, all our Parkos parking lots have been verified by us and all are in secure locations.

JFK airport parking

While parking at the airport itself may seem like the most convenient option, it’s also the most expensive and is geared towards short-stays. Daily rates can be as much as $60 and most lots have a maximum stay of just 24 hours, making them ideal for a day trip, but no good for a longer vacation.

JFK long-term parking with shuttle

If you’re going away for 3 days or more, then off-airport parking is a very affordable option, with rates starting at just $9.99 a day. For travelers planning on spending more than a week away, long-term parking is the sensible choice. With low rates and a free shuttle ride to the airport this is both economical and convenient.

JFK valet parking

For top convenience, consider booking a parking lot with a valet service to save you time and hassle. Simply drive your car to the drop-off location at the parking lot, complete the paperwork, hand over your key and a professional staff member will park your car in a secure location. A shuttle will take you right to your terminal.

One of the closest Parkos parking lots to the airport that offers valet parking is Rockaway Airport Parking, located just 5 minutes outside the airport. Open 24/7 with a free shuttle, this option will cost you, on average, $69.93 (plus tax) a week and is a great option for you to consider. On your return, simply ring the lot to arrange a pick up. Additionally, it offers a free cancellation policy and can accommodate oversized cars and pick-up trucks. Cars are parked in the open in a secure compound.

Aardwolf parking has covered areas and is conveniently located only a 5 minute shuttle ride from the airport. Starting at $181.65 (including tax) for 8 days, the extra expense can be well worth it. Note that oversized vehicles have an additional $3 charge per day.

Other parking

For passengers with mobility issues, there are parking spaces available near the terminal entrances. These spots are offered at discounted rates, which start from $4 for 30 minutes up to $29 per day. To qualify, you must clearly display your official disabled license plates on your car.

Driving an electric vehicle and need a charge? There are some EV charging spots available in the Yellow parking lot near terminal 5 and some others in the West cell phone lot. All EV charging is free, but spaces are limited.
