Columbus Airport Parking
John Glenn Columbus International Airport is located on International Gateway in Columbus OH, home to Ohio State University. The airport is 6 miles from downtown Columbus and easily accessible from Stelzer Road. Unlike most airports that undergo name changes, Columbus Airport’s name wasn’t changed until recently in 2016. Formerly known as Port Columbus International Airport, it was renamed to John Glenn Columbus International Airport after astronaut and U.S. senator, John Glenn. In 2018, the airport had over 8 million passengers travel through its terminals (see also Wikipedia).
Largely a passenger airport, Columbus has direct flights to 34 airports. Destinations that can be reached from Columbus Airport include Chicago OHare, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas Fort Worth, and Newark Liberty. For travelers with an early flight, Columbus has plenty of airport hotels to choose from such as Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Four Points by Sheraton.
Columbus parking can be expensive, with short term parking at $30 per day. Even the long term parking is costly at $13 per day for the walking lot and $20 for the parking garage. The shuttle lots are cheaper than their short term counterparts, but then you have to rely on the red lot/blue lot shuttle bus to be on time and available. Economy shuttle parking doesn’t always mean its better in the long run. That’s why Parkos was created! We wanted to offer travelers reliable, affordable parking. Parkos works with offsite parking providers located near Columbus Airport making airport parking affordable, quick, and convenient. We provide details over each parking including location, daily parking rates, availability, and method of parking (self parking and valet parking).
